1970
UNI-FLY was founded by Bjarne Stuhr Petersen in Svendborg. At that time, he had a Hughes 269A, which was mainly used for crop dusting and fertilising agricultural areas. Later that year, a brand new Bell47 G5 was purchased and the helicopter is still in the company fleet.

1976 UNI-FLY starts flying in Greenland. The first Greenland operation was ice reconnaissance for the shipping company J. Lauritzen.

1980 The Greenland operations are expanded with a Hughes 500 D, which were used for flying geologic missions in Greenland, mainly on the East Coast for the company Nordisk Mineselskab.

1986 The first Eurocopter (earlier Aerospatiale) helicopter was purchased - an AS 350B1.

1998 UNI-FLY now owns its first Eurocopter EC120, serial no. 007. UNI-FLY was the first operator in the world to use this helicopter commercially.

2002 ELSAM (now Vattenfall) awards UNI-FLY the contract for hoist operations in the offshore wind park Horns Rev 1. Subsequently, UNIFLY opens a department at Esbjerg Airport and purchases its first Eurocopter EC135.UNI-FLY was the first ever helicopter operator to start hoisting people onto wind turbines, and to date UNI-FLY has performed more than 16,000 successful hoist operations. UNIFLY is the only Danish operator performing helicopter hoist operations to wind turbines.

2005 The Danish business magazine Børsen awards UNI-FLY with the "fynske gazellepris” for being a fast growing company.

2007 UNI-FLY performs hoist no. 10,000 on the wind turbines in Horns Rev and stets a record with 215 hoists during 6 hours. The contract with Vattenfall is extended 5 years.

2011 UNI-FLY expands its maintenance facility for external customers and becomes an official Piper Service Center.
